On April 28, 2006, Tierra Energy completed the acquisition of
the Eastshore Energy Center located in Hayward, California. The Eastshore
project is a 115.5 MW natural gas-fired power plant, which is scheduled to
commence commercial
operations in May 2009.
The facility will utilize proven Wärtsilä reciprocating engines to
produce electrical energy that will be sold under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement
with Pacific Gas & Electric Company.
